30. SALARY PACKAGING
30.1. SBS may offer Employees a salary package in accordance with this clause. A salary package involves an Employee agreeing to sacrifice a portion of their salary for non-cash benefits, in accordance with SBS guidelines.
30.2. The total value of any salary package will include any additional fees or charges, fringe benefits tax liability, and any administrative costs associated with the package if it involves the provision of payments or benefits which cannot be made through the SBS payroll system.
30.3. Employees are responsible for obtaining independent financial advice before accepting any salary package.
30.4. Where Employees enter into salary packaging arrangements and/or arrangements to purchase additional leave (in accordance with clause 24.2), superannuation, severance and termination payments will be determined as if such arrangements had not been entered into.
