31. PERFORMANCE REVIEWS AND PROMOTION
31.1. Eligible Employees
31.1.1 This clause applies to:
(a) Ongoing Employees who have at least 12 months’ service with SBS; and
(b) Limited-Term Employees who have been engaged on a single employment contract performing the same duties for a continuous period of 12 months or more.
31.2. Timing of Performance Reviews
31.2.1 Employees will have their performance reviewed annually.
31.2.2 Any base salary increase resulting from the annual performance review will be payable from the date of completion of the 12 month period covered by the review, or from a later payment date in accordance with clause C.2 in Schedule C. An Employee must remain employed as at the effective date of payment in order for it to apply.
31.2.3 Base salary increases made in accordance with Schedule C will be reduced proportionately by any period during the previous 12 months which is not counted as service.
31.2.4 Employees who have been on higher duties for 12 months or more and have received an increase to their higher duties salary through a performance review under Schedule C will have the percentage increase from the salary review applied to their base salary rate when their higher duties cease.
31.2.5 If there is any delay in the completion of a performance review, any increase in salary will be payable from the date the review should have been completed.
31.3. Salary Progression
Salary progression will be determined in accordance with the provisions of ScheduleC.
31.4. Promotion
Employees who are promoted to a higher level will be paid a salary determined by SBS, which will be at least the minimum for the new, higher level.
