Whether you will be paid out Long Service Leave when your employment with SBS ends depends on eligibility requirements under the Long Service Leave (Commonwealth Employees) Act 1976.
If you leave SBS and have worked the total number of years to get the full entitlement, SBS will pay you in respect of your accrued but untaken long service leave.
If employment ends before you have worked the total number of years needed to get the full long service leave entitlement, you may be paid out part of your long service leave in the event your employment has ended based on specific eligibility requirements (e.g. redundancy). This is known as pro-rata long service leave.
